How to take care of carpet tiles?

We all know that prevention is better than cure and so this also goes for keeping dust and stains away from carpet tiles. Carpet tiles are different in many aspects from traditional carpets. At first the best carpets tiles are square pieces of carpets that are arranged to create a mosaic effect just like bathroom tiles. On the other hand traditional carpets are the ones that are a roll of thick covering that covers the whole of the floor. There is no fear of getting disjoint at the edges with traditional carpets.

Since the carpet tiles are joined to cover the whole of the desired area and this creates an empty between adjacent carpet tiles. This is where dust and other fluids make their place. If you have bought your carpet tiles from reputed stores, you might have received a cleaning solvent to remove temporary stains. This cleaning solvent is another dust and soils attracter. When you remove a piece of tile for the purpose of cleaning, the solvent cleans the area well but some of it still remains in the carpet tile. This becomes sticky with time and attracts dust and other dirt. So, this is why you need to keep dust and fluids away from carpets.

It is a Herculean task to clean carpet but with proper care you can keep the carpets dust free for a long time. No matter whatever you do, there is a need to clean the carpets periodically. For this steam cleaning is best because it does not leave the carpets damp and sticky and so there is a less likely possibility of catching dust and soil.
